Reflections on the Passion
<h1>Reflections on the Passion</h1><p>Writing a reflection on the enthusiasm is the most troublesome thing on the planet. You need to think of a point of view that will impact your peruser and that will convince them to reevaluate their position and to be spurred to see things from your viewpoint. By following a portion of the reflections on energy, you can make your composing more effective.</p><p></p><p>The first reflection on enthusiasm is 'I Love the Sea.' This paper test was finished by Elizabeth McGann. It utilizes an allegory to show how basic a few emotions are. The analogy begins as a fantasy that will inevitably transform into a reality and by concentrating on the fantasy, the energy will blur into nothingness.</p><p></p><p>The second reflection on enthusiasm is 'I Love Bikes.' It was composed by Jenny Jacobson. She contends that individuals should concentrate more on the positives of a bicycle and less on th e negatives. In doing as such, she enables the peruser to understand that the individual in question can't ever truly turn out badly. The rationale utilized in this reflection is that individuals are essentially acceptable and can commit errors yet at long last, individuals will consistently discover something positive to state about their bike.</p><p></p><p>The third reflection on enthusiasm is called 'My Two Cents' by Jennie Jilich. She likewise trusts that she can rouse others to advance a similar measure of effort.</p><p></p><p>The fourth reflection on energy is composed by Nadia Parsons. In the event that we comprehend that we might not be right and that we could not be right constantly, we will be greatly improved ready to manage any circumstance. On the off chance that we get excessively agreeable, our psyches will rapidly begin to figure just positive contemplations and we will end up expressing negative things and doing negative things.</p><p></p><p>The fifth reflection on the energy originates from Karen Finney. This exposition test analyzes the contrast between paying attention to life and taking a gander at it with negativity. Individuals who pay attention to life won't have the option to completely acknowledge what they have and they will wind up either relinquishing it or losing it totally. The individuals who are brimming with criticism regularly will have more achievement and make more money.</p><p></p><p>The 6th reflection on the energy originates from Scott Kulik owski. This one talks about what number of individuals become individuals that are terrified of disappointment. They fear coming up short since disappointment alarms them so much that they simply don't try.</p><p></p><p>The seventh reflection on the energy originates from Janet Anderson. She contends that on the off chance that you need to accomplish significance is tied in with accomplishing what you love and being energetic about it, at that point you will accomplish enormity. Reports show that musculoskeletal disorders account for approximately$240 billion in the United States annual healthcare expenditure, with over $100 billion going to treat low back pain alone (Crow Willis, 2009). By implementing such technologies, AirAsia will be able to bring better decision in proper time at proper place (Sheehan, 2003). V. Porter Five force analysis of Air Asia There is the high barrier entering the airline industry due to some reason : High Capital requirement. The airline industry needs the big amount of start-up capital. The new entrant have to spent the cost of setting up the office, purchasing or renting the aircraft, hire the professional pilot and stuffs and so on. Thus, the threat of Airasia is low. Brand awareness : brand awareness also important for the new entrant. The consumer will Just choose the products and service that they most trust on. So new entrant have to make the huge investment both time and resource to stablish the reputation in order to get the brand loyalty from the customer. hence, brand loyalty really can help reducing the threat to AirAsia too. Different product offered: AirAsia offers many different product if comparedwith any other competitors such as Tiger Airways, Bangkok Airways, Air Phulippines etc. Beside selling ticket, AirAsia also provide the holiday package which the the customer can travel around Asia as well. And its also has the strong connection with many hotel, and tourism company around Asia. Thus, it s hard for the new entrants to compete with Air Asia. Government legislation: it is one of the berries of entering to airline industry, because its very difficult to get the new flight route from government. Government Policy: has limited new entrant so Air Asia is already settled on the market. Rivalry among existing competitor (high) Although AirAsia offers the lower price than other companies, but nowadays there are some company also provide the same price such as Firefly and Airway . These companies also provide the service at the same level of AirAsia. Hence, the rivalry among existing company remain highly. 1 . Power of buyer The power of buyers is quite high for AirAsia because although the AirAsia provide the lowest price to customers, but they still make the comparison between the airline companies. Its very easy for the customers to switch from AirAsia to other company because there are many company that provide the same service. Moreover, AirAsia always leaves customers an image as they always delay the flight. Thus, for the investor or other top executive or businessman, they will choose other airline instead of AirAsia. 2. Power of supplier The bargaining power of supplier is a little bit high. For supplier like food supplier, nd fuel suppliers will be based on the market condition. So that the price cannot be increased to much. And there re only two aircraft suppliers- Airbus and Boing. Most of the aircraft of AirAsia is Airbus model, so the switching cost of AirAsia will be high because if AirAsia what to switch from Airbus to Boing, they would meet a high cost such as the cost of training the pilot and so on . VI. SWOT Ananlysis Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Analysis for AirAsia 1 . Strengths Air Asia has a very strong management team with strong links with governments and airline industry leaders. This is partly contributed by the diverse background of the executive management teams which consists of industry experts and ex-top government officials. For example, Shin Corp (formerly owned by the family of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra) holds a 50% stake in Thai AirAsia. This has helped AirAsia to open up and capture a sizeable market in Thailand. With their strong working relationship with Airbus, they managed to get big discount for aircraft purchase which is also more fuel efficient compared to Boeing 737 planes which is being used by many other airlines The management team is also very good n strategy formulation and execution. The strategy that they have formulated at the beginnings was a clever blend of proven strategies by other low cost airlines is US and Europe. They are Ryanairs operational strategy (no frills, landing in secondary airport), Southwests people strategy (employee comes first) and EasyJets branding strategy (linking with other service providers like hotels, car rental). AirAsias brand name is well established in Asia Pacific. Besides the normal print media advertising promotions, AirAsias top management also capitalised on promotions through news y being very media friendly and freely sharing the latest information on Air Asia as well as the airline industry. Their partnership with other service providers such as hotels and hostels, car rental firms, hospitals (medical tourism), Citibank (AirAsia Citibank card) has created a very unique image among travellers. Alliance with Galileo GDS (Global Distribution System) that enables travel agents from around the world to check flight details and make bookings have also contributed to their string brand name. Air Asias local presence in few countries such as Indonesia (Indonesia AirAsia) and Thailand (Thai AirAsia) have successfully elevated the brand to become a regional brand beyond Just Malaysia. The links with Manchaster United (one of the worlds most famous football teams) and ATT Williams Formula One team have further boosted their image to a greater extend beyond Just the this region AirAsia is the low cost leader in Asia. With the help of AirAsia Academy, AirAsia has successfully created a low-cost airline mentality among their workforce. The workforce is very flexible and high committed and very critical in making AirAsia the lowest cost airline in Asia. The excellent utilization of IT have directly contributed to their promotional activities (email alerts and desktop widget which was Jointly developed with Microsoft tor new promotions), brand building exercise (witn over 3 million nits per month and on the most widely surfed booking engines in the world) as well keep the cost low by enabling direct purchase of tickets by consumer thus saving on airline agent fees 2. Weaknesses Air Asia does not have its own maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility. It may be a good strategy when they first started with only Malaysia as the hub and few planes to maintain. But now, with few hubs (Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia) and over 100 planes currently owned and about another 100 planes to be received in the next few years, AirAsia have to ensure proper and continuous maintenance of the planes which will also help to keep the overall costs low. It is a competitive disadvantage not to have its own MRO facility. AirAsia receives a lot complaints from customers on their service. Examples of complaints are around flight delays, being charged for a lot of things and not able to change flight or get a refund if customers could not make it. Good customer service and management is critical especially when ompetition is getting intense. 3. Opportunities There are 2 major events that are taking place now or going to take place in less than 6 months from now. First, is the ever increasing oil price. Second, is the ASEAN Open Skies agreement that has been reached. The increasing oil price at the first glance may appear like a threat for AirAsia. But being a low cost leader, AirAsia an upper hand because its cost will be still the lowest among all the regional airlines. Thus, AirAsia has a great opportunity to capture some of the existing customers of full service and other low cost airlines customers. However, there will be also some reduction in overall travel especially by casual or budget travellers. The ASEAN Open Skies allows unlimited flights among ASEANs regional air carriers beginning December 2008. This will definitely increase the competition among the regional airlines. However, with the first mover advantage as well as its strengths in management, strategy formulation, strategy execution, strong brand and low-cost culture among its workforce, this agreement can be seen as more of an opportunity. There is also some opportunity to partner with other low cost airlines as Virgin to tap nto their existing strengths or competitive advantages such as brand name, landing rights and landing slots (time to land). The population of Asian middle class will be reaching almost 700 million by 2010. This creates a larger market and a huge opportunity for all low cost airlines in this region including AirAsia. 4. Threats Certain rates like airport departure, security charges and landing charges are beyond the control of airline operators and this is a threat to all airlines especially low cost airlines which tries to keep their cost as low as possible. For example, Changi airport n Singapore charges SGD21 for every person who departs from Singapore. AirAsias profit margin is about 30% and this has already attracted many competitors. Most of the full service airlines have or planning to create a low cost subsidiary to compete directly with AirAsia. For example, Singapore Airlines has created a low cost carrier Tiger Airways. Users perception that budget airlines may compromise satetyto eep costs low. VI. Recommendation and Conclusion Throughout this case study of AirAsia, we have understand that there are high competitiveness in Airfare Industry. Companies have taken many strategies to ompete in order to gain market share and to gain for profit as well. Providing a low cost is one of the strategy that AirAsia conducts in order to compete this industry. If we look at AirAsia, most people would say It is the most economical. but today AirAsia is not the most economical, providing lower cost, TigerAir and Jetstar have took place. And there are so many complaints from customers who have purchase the flight from AirAsia. Those complaints are mostly about Flight Delays, if the Flight Changes, customers cant rebook or refund the money because there is an exact date that AirAsia organized for them.

Marxist Ideology Essays - Political Philosophy, Politics, Thought
Marxist Ideology "Capital is not personal, but social power and product." (Karl Marx) Karl Marx, perhaps one of the most influential philosophers in history, is widely remembered for the revolutionizing ideologies he presented in the Communist Manifesto. Marx was certainly a man of great intelligence and vision. His many visions about capitalistic development are constantly reflected in today's society. Job alienation is certainly rampant. Most individuals have a "TGIF; Monday sucks" mentality. To most people work rather than happiness is the meaning of life; nothing is ever enough?everyone wants more, More, MORE. The bourgeois are running things, as a large portion of the world's resources and wealth is in the hands of a select few. The immediate question that then comes to mind is whether this is advantageous to society. To correctly answer this deep question, one must look at the pros and cons of the socialist ideology. In theory, socialism has several observable benefits. For one, the equality of humankind presents itself as an important theme. The capitalistic bourgeois/proletariat relationship that exists is destroyed. Consequently, the exploitation of the proletariat by the bourgeois is non-existent. Work now takes on a different meaning?instead of being the result of greed and necessity, work becomes a means of helping and interacting with society. In the truest form of communism, acquiring wealth is an unnecessary evil?instead society provides the individual with an adequate standard of living and vice versa. Ultimately, an ideal communist state is practically a Utopia. Marx clearly predicted that a state of Utopia would form with a transition from communism. (Marx detailed steps to reaching Utopia include: primitive socialism feudalism capitalismsocialism communism Utopia.) While communism has its benefits, the reality of reaching these benefits is literally non-existent. Even Marx predicted that this would be the case!?he said that in the presence of capitalism, communism will lose. This is a very interesting statement, and clearly implies that the socialistic ideology is not perfect. Communism is a Utopia, and therefore it arguably cannot exist. Communism calls for the cooperation of too many individuals. Everyone would have to be a productive member of society. Politicians and government officials would have to govern flawlessly. Any form of corruption could not be tolerated, as it could bring about total anarchy and downfall. In addition to these troublesome"technicalities," the idea of public goods does not always result in the desired outcome. For example, imagine the creation of a public lawnmower. As opposed to a private owner who would try to preserve the longevity of the lawnmower, the public would have no real incentive to take care of the lawnmower. Certainly, private ownership provides to the preservation of goods and resources. Also, take into consideration the status of the US public school system as compared to the US private school system. Private schools have done remarkably better at producing better results and using less money when compared to US public schools. To an extent this can also be said for private health care?in comparing England's and Canada's health care systems to that of the US. Lastly, the communist ideology destroys competition. With no competition people do not have an incentive to advance. Inferior products that lack quality and improvement are made. Inferior services that lack needed advancement?such as health care?are provided. This is not to say that this is the case with all services and products. However, without competition there is no real desire to change the norm, regardless of how good or bad it is. This would be especially damaging to advances in medicine, science, and research.

Overview of United States Government
Overview of United States Government The government of the United States is based on a written constitution. At 4,400 words, it is the shortest national constitution in the world. On June 21, 1788, New Hampshire ratified the Constitution giving it the necessary 9 out of 13 votes needed for the Constitution to pass. It officially went into effect onà March 4, 1789.à It wasà consists of a Preamble, seven Articles, and 27 Amendments. From this document, the entire federal government was created. It is a living document whose interpretation has changed over time. The amendment process is such that while not easily amended, US citizens are able to make necessary changes over time. Three Branches of Government The Constitution created three separate branches of government. Each branch has its own powers and areas of influence. At the same time, the Constitution created a system of checks and balances that ensured no one branch would reign supreme. The three branches are: Legislative Branch- This branch consists of the Congress which is responsible for making the federal laws. Congress consists of two houses: the Senate and the House of Representatives.Executive Branch- The Executive power lies with the President of the United States who is given the job of executing, enforcing, and administering the laws and government. The Bureaucracy is part of the Executive Branch.Judicial Branch- The judicial power of the United States is vested in the Supreme Court and the federal courts. Their job is to interpret and apply US laws through cases brought before them. Another important power of the Supreme Court is that of Judicial Review whereby they can rule laws unconstitutional. Six Foundational Principles The Constitution is built on six basic principles. These are deeply ingrained in the mindset and landscape of the US Government. Popular Sovereignty- This principle states that the source of governmental power lies with the people. This belief stems from the concept of the social contract and the idea that government should be for the benefit of its citizens. If the government is not protecting the people, it should be dissolved.Limited Government- Since the people give the government its power, the government itself is limited to the power given to it by them. In other words, the US government does not derive its power from itself. It must follow its own laws and it can only act using powers given to it by the people.Separation of Powers- As stated previously, the US Government is divided into three branches so that no one branch has all the power. Each branch has its own purpose: to make the laws, execute the laws, and interpret the laws.Checks and Balances- In order to further protect the citizens, the constitution set up a system of checks and balances. Basically, each branch of government has a certain nu mber of checks it can use to ensure the other branches do not become too powerful. For example, the president can veto legislation, the Supreme Court can declare acts of Congress unconstitutional, and the Senate must approve treaties and presidential appointments. Judicial Review- This is a power that allows the Supreme Court to decide whether acts and laws are unconstitutional. This was established with Marbury v. Madison in 1803.Federalism- One of the most complicated foundations of the US is the principle of federalism. This is the idea that the central government does not control all the power in the nation. States also have powers reserved to them. This division of powers does overlap and sometimes leads to problems such as what happened with the response to Hurricane Katrina between the state and federal governments. Political Process While the Constitution sets up the system of government, the actual way in which the offices of Congress and the Presidency are filled are based upon the American political system. Many countries have numerous political parties- groups of people who join together to try and win political office and thereby control the government- but the US exists under a two-party system. The two major parties in America are the Democratic and Republican parties. They act as coalitions and attempt to win elections. We currently have a two-party system because of not only historical precedent and tradition but also theà electoral system itself. The fact that America has a two-party system does not mean that there is no role for third parties in the American landscape. In fact, they have often swayed elections even if their candidates have in most cases not won. There are four major types of third parties: Ideological Parties, e.g. Socialist PartySingle-Issue parties, e.g. Right to Life PartyEconomic Protest Parties, e.g. Greenback PartySplinter Parties, e.g. Bull Moose Party Elections Elections occur in the United States at all levels including local, state, and federal. There are numerous differences from locality to locality and state to state. Even when determining the presidency, there is some variation with how the electoral college is determined from state to state. While voter turnout is barely over 50% during Presidential election years and much lower than that during midterm elections, elections can be hugely important as seen by the top ten significant presidential elections.
